Interested in adventure racing, but not sure you’re ready? Got a friend interested in trying something new? Already racing, but ready to push it to the next level? Looking to meet new racers to form teams, friendships, and alliances? How about just a great weekend in a beautiful spot doing something you love?
Get ready for the Central Coast Adventure Camp coming to you on April 9-10 at Santa Margarita Lake in California!
Here’s what we have cooking:

Participants will rotate through workshops, blending classroom and practical applications. At the end of all the classes the groups will be split into race teams and participate in a mock race on Sunday.
These are the topics we’re offering:
- Navigation
- Mountain biking (technique, bike first aid, night riding)
- Paddling/kayaking
- Nutrition/hydration/supplementation
- First Aid and staying safe
- Gear selection (ie, bikes, shoes, kayaks, etc)
- Packing and carrying gear
- Ropes (ascending/descending, self rescue,knots, and equipment)
- Psych techniques (what to expect, how to stay positive and work as a team)
- Training
- Teamwork
